Lost
The rays break through the clouds today,
Covered in saddness they paint the world gray.
Love it seems is still beyond my reach,
Even if just for a moment I could steal a peek.
I think of your shadow as you turn away,
Is the time lost or did I break through some way.
I look beyond the clouds and feel the warmth,
The sun the heat and the everlasting dream.
Did lose the love I never had with a feeling,
Or is the panic of the future still within me.
I wallow in self pity as the day clouds over,
The sun disappears in the darkness that consumes me
