What About Integrity?
It seems the past few days have come with a lot of drama.
Inconsistent people matched with inconsistent systems together with inconsistent stories add up to a great big pile of lack of integrity.
Now realistically, we all go through spells of lack in our integrity. It happens. You get paid 5 bucks extra, you leave work ten minutes early, etc..
I am not talking about the little chips at ones integrity, I am talking about the great big premeditated, I am leaving my integrity on the shelf days.
My first question is why would anyone do that? Why would you decide to ignore your integrity and do something horrible or blantantly lie because either you want to make some one feel bad or you just simply want to hurt some one that cares about you?
Only other reason one forgets their integrity is when a goal, prize or competition becomes so important they will do anything for personal gain.
I am sure by now you are trying to figure out where I am going with all this.
I guess the last few days has shown me a couple people way out of integrity, not only with me and people around them but more importantly, themselves.
People grow up and change, that is inevitable. Although when people change to the point they are willing to hurt others to ensure they have options open, or completely lose sense of reality and they are only caring about themselves then it’s time to take a self inventory.
No one is perfect, we all make mistakes, although mistakes made outside of integrity just hurt the people around you and do nothing for anyone else. And in the end Karma will find you. It’s just the way it works.
