Faded and Forgotten
The dark settles softly,
I see her face.
I feel the warmth of her smile,
I dream for moment.
The dark consumes,
I have nothing left.
I feel her weight on my mind,
As her body presses to me.
I am nothing more than dust on the window sill,
Waiting for her to remember my dream.
Dark settles softly,
I am the tear.
I see her smile quietly,
At someone else I fear.
I am nothing more than the faded memory,
Gone from existence.
Today, tomorrow a memory,
A tear for the dust that is dry and old.
Open the window,
blow me out.
Let me fade and wither,
int he darkened cold.
