Breaking Heart
When the world of reality crashes in , sometimes you find yourself all alone and completely broken hearted. Having a broken heart is like dying while forced to stay alive. You can breath, yet there is never enough air. You can fight it and push the feeling away, although then when the feeling surfaces again it is much worse. Love is broken. Anything that breaks in the human body hurts. The proverbial heart is no different.
So what do yo do when you find yourself with a broken heart? There are many ways to answer this. Many ways to heal it faster, although when you have a broken heart, none of them seem to be a way out.
There will be no love advice about a mending a broken heart. No quick fixes or miracle cures. Love hurts. Or it can hurt.
Instead of talking about the broken heart, let’s talk about preventing the broken heart from happening.
What can you and your significant other do to prevent the relationship from falling apart, going stale or simply coming to a stop?
1. Communication. Communication is the key ingredient most take for granted. When you talk you are communicating, right? Wrong! Communication is so much more than just talking. Understanding from the talking is key. Body language and making sure your lover understands the body language is also very important. One of the biggest issues with communication is understanding how your girlfriend or boyfriend perceive the world. If they rely on feeling what you say and you rely on just what you say to get your message across then there is breakdown of communication there. And it goes the same the opposite way. Communication on all levels is probably the most important piece to keeping a relationship together.
2. Passion. After all what is communication with out the desire to be around each other? You need to keep the “fun” alive. With out the fun and with out the desire to see one another, there is no reason to keep the relationship alive.
3. Honesty. This should go with out saying. One white lie, is too many lies. Be true to the one you love.
4. Time. With out time well spent with your lover, none of the points above can ever happen. You need to set aside time to nurture the relationship. Allow you and your significant other to grow closer together instead of further apart.
5. Compromise. Compromise is one of the most important things in a relationship. In order to get along and accept each others views on the world you need to compromise.
Hopefully you read this and really have taken it to heart (no pun intended). The human relies on relationships, friendships and loves to make himself or herself feel complete. There are those in the world that are fine being single. There are those that need another all the time. Which ever you believe yourself to be take the above points and apply them into your life, love, relationships and friendships.
You never know when a broken heart can occur in your life.
